This series combines the days of my youth late 1970’s to the present year 2022. I am bridging the past with the present by using the buildings, architecture and landmarks as the past then adding people of the present. It is an interesting journey to see how we have grown with technology and less with the past of good old fashion communication and playfulness.
Fun Fact: As part of my series of the 10 most popular streets leading to the beach- I sat down at a Mexican restaurant facing the beach for about 25 minutes or so- just enough time for the pigeons to share my meal and for people to cross the sidewalk. I even took a photo of a homeless man that was on the beach side or south side of PCH1 and the next thing I see is that he is facing me with a look. I’ve named him Sailboat Pete and will be doing a painting of him. Again, even though my life was not in danger with Sailboat Pete- he could have thrown a right hook on me. An artist’s life is never easy. I’ve added a photo of them both in the photo area on this page.
