Time to Fly

This piece is made from my past. Lots of treasures’ here. Real turquoise on her head, grandma’s buttons for her wings- for she always believed that I could fly. Seashells, nails, broom bristles, paintbrushes, time pieces, rose images, serving tool, leather and lace. All of these items are a part of me.

How to read her. Her “clothing” is done in black and white because it is manmade. Her “skin” is floral because God made her in his image. Her hair has been replaced with paintbrushes because she spends more time on her art. The title is…she is ready to fly from where she has been to where God wants her to be. The “three” keys” hold her heart on the back side of her.
